The weather forecast for this year’s Yukon Days on White Bear Lake couldn’t be better. The 1 Mile Yukon Mile is race #2 of the Great White Bear Grand Prix. The is also the 3 Mile Snowshoe, 3 Mile Run and the 1/2 Mile Litle Yukon Fun Run. Online registration is closed but there is race days registration starting 8:00 a.m. at the White Bear Lake VFW. The 1 Mile Starts at 9:oo a.m., the 3 mile Snowshoe at 9:40 a.m. and the 3 Mile Run at 10:00. The 1/2 mile Little Yukon starts at 9:40 a.m. All events start and finish on White Bear Lake in front of the VFW.  Race information can be found at http://www.frontrunnerusa.com/event/yukon-days-run-and-snowshoe-pick-your-distance

Awards Party this Saturday for White Bear Grand Prix and the Dirty 30 Trail Running Series
The Saturday, FrontRunner will host an awards party for winners in the Great White Bear Grand Prix and the Dirty 30 Trail Running Series. Runners have accumulated point in each events they ran in 2014. The Grand Prix had 10 events and the Dirty 30 had 6 events.

Katie Hawk will be this year’s Kids Fun Run Director at Run for the Apples
FrontRunner is pleased to announce that Katie Hawk will again be the Kid’s Fun Run Director at the 2014 Run for the Apples on October 18 at Pine Tree Apple Orchard. Katie is the Healthy Youth Program Director at the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities and has her own event company – Alive Events, LLC. Katie worked with FrontRunner at last year’s Apple Kids Run as well as at other FrontRunner Events. It is always fun having Katie involved
Shell Lake Triathlon is this weekend.
Everyone loves a small community event where everyone in town shows up. That is what happens at the Shell Lake Triathlon. This event is put on jointly by FrontRunner and the Shell Lakes Lion’s Club. The Lion’s Club works throughout the entire year promoting this event to all the locals. The triathlon will consist of a 1/3 mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3 mile run. Everything starts at the Shell Lake waterfront at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Paul Bunyan Triathlon is this weekend In Bemidji – 9th Annual
The 9th Annual Paul Bunyan Triathlon is this Saturday, July 19, in Bemidji, Minnesota. This event has a long and short course and is transitioned of of Cameron Park on the west side of Lake Bemidji. Maybe Paul and Babe will show up to compete as a team!

Lakewood Hills 5k Trail run is this Saturday
The 14th annual Lakewood Hills 5K Trail run is this Saturday, July 12. Lakewood Hill is one of White Bear Lakes most beautiful parks and is located behind the White Bear YMCA. The 5K course is run on wood chip and ashalt trails throughout the park. Packet pickup and race day egistration will open 7:00 a.m. in the parks pavillian. The run starts at 8:00 a.m. The are age group awards for the top 3 in each age group. Everyone receives a Lakewood Hills 5K t shirt. This event is race #3 of the Dirty 30 Trail Running Series. More information can be found at http://www.frontrunnerusa.com/event/lakewood-hills-trail-5k.
Come to the Z Tri this July 4th
Are you looking for a last minute triathlon this 4th of July? Check out FrontRunner’s  Z-Tri. This family-oriented triathlon is in Grand Rapids at Zorbaz on Pokegama Lake. A 1/3 mile swim, 14 mile bike and a 3.2 mile run. A great family/friends event. Sign up as an individual or as a team  Race starts at 8:00 a.m. – be back on the lake by 10:30 a.m. There is race day registration. Many of you are aware that FrontRunner recently announced the discontinuation of its annual Black Friday sale. In its place, FrontRunner is now offering open registration for its 2015 races immediately following the completion of the 2014 race (rather than waiting until Thanksgiving to open registration for 2015). For the 3 days following the 2014 race, you will be able to register for that 2015 event at a 25% discount. After those 3 days, registration will then move to full price up to race day in 2015.

Meet Our Race Directors For The St. Paul Triathlon
Meet our Race Directors for the 2014 St. Paul Triathlon – August 17 at Lake Phalen. Kyle Fulton and Steve Nasvik. Kyle has been the DJ (Fulton Productions) for probably hundreds of FrontRunner’s Events over the years. Steve has been our timer/results person for the past 3 years. They both decided it was time to take on another role with one of our major events. Watch for fun and new things to be put in place at this year’s event.
