Great White Bear Grand Prix Final Points

An awards party will be held at the White Bear Lake VFW on Saturday December 5 at 10:30 a.m.

Great White Bear Grand Prix after Race #8 – The Run For the Apples 5 Mile

Here are the Great White Bear Grand Prix point standings after race #8 – The Run For the Apples.  Kelly Keller Ramacier leads the Women’s division with 587 points.  John Arnett leads the Men’s division with 599 points.  There are many close age group races that could still be determined at the last Grand Prix race of the year, the Great Pumpkin Chase 5K at Lake Elmo Park Reserve on Saturday, October 31

Great Fall Events for your Calendar

Just because Summer seems to be coming to an end, FrontRunner still has many great events planned for you this Fall.

September 12 and 13th – The Square Lake Triathlon.  Saturday is the Short Course.  a 1/2 mile swim, 18 mile bike and 5 mile run.  Sunday is the Long Course.  This day is a 1.2 mile swim, 52 mile bike and a 13 mile run.  The Square Lake Triathlon has always been a favorite to all.  The clean water of Square Lake.  The great roads for biking that have wide shoulders and have all been repaved over the past few years. and the country run.

September 19 – The Park Tool “Fall Classic” Duathlon.  This annual event is held at Lake Elmo Park Reserve and consist of a 3 mile run, 14 mile bike and 2.5 mile run.

September 20 – The William O’Brien 10 Mile Trail Run – Held within William O’Brien State Park, enjoy trail running at it’s finest.

September 26 – The Cascade Falls Duathlon at Osceola, Wisconsin – Finish your multisport season off with a really fun event.  This event is a 3 mile run, 14 mile bike, and 3 mile run

October 17 – The Run For The Apples 5 Miles Run/Walk – This great trail run takes you through the pumpkin patches, strawberry fields and apple orchards at Pine Tree Apple Orchard in White Bear Lake.  Also has a fun kid’s run.  Pine Tree provides great apple treat to all participants after the event.  This is one of our favorites.

Finally, there is the Great Pumpkin Chase on October 31.  There are two trail runs, a 5K, 10K and a great kids run (the Dracula Dash).  Come in costume.  This event is at Lake Elmo Park Reserve.  Lake Elmo Park Reserve has some of the best running trails in the Twin Cities

Stockyard Days 5K and 10K this weekend

The 14th Annual Stockyard Days 5K/10K and Kids Fun Run is this Saturday, August 8, at Long Lake Park Reserve in New Brighton.  Both the 5K and the 10K start at 8:00 a.m.

The location - Come and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Long Lake Regional Park and surrounding neighborhood. The event is part of New Brighton’s Stockyard Days, a community celebration which includes an Antique Car Run. After the run, stay for the arrival of the antique cars in the early afternoon at the park.

The course – Both the 5K and 10K are entirely in the park.  The 10K does 2 laps of the 5K.

The Kids Fun Run starts at approximately 8:45 and will consist of a 1/4-mile run for the age 5 and under kids and 1/2-mile run for older kids.  Parents are free to register their children in either run.

Shell Lake Triathlon is this weekend in Shell Lake, Wisconsin

The 3rd annual Shell Lake Triathlon will be held this Saturday, July 25, in Shell Lake, Wisconsin

This event is put on collaboratively with the Shell Lake Lions Club.  They bring the whole town out to cheer!

THE LOCATION – Beautiful Shell Lake Wisconsin.  Shell Lake is a friendly rural community of just over 1,300 people located in northwestern Wisconsin.  One of the City’s most unique features is its beautiful 2,580 acre lake. Shell Lake is the State’s largest landlocked seepage lake. It is about 36 feet deep at its deepest; it is clear and clean; and it is an excellent place to fish, sail, swim, or just relax or do a triathlon

THE COURSE –
The Swim – The 1/3-mile swim takes place in beautiful Shell Lake . Wave starts will be utilized with the first starting at 8:00 a.m.

The Bike – 15 Miles though the country and around Shell Lake.

The Run – The 3.5-mile run is flat and fast.

There is brand new paving for bikes as they leave and return to their transition area.

Online registration closes Wednesday Night at Midnight.  There will be race day registration.

Paul Bunyan Triathlon This weekend in Bemidji

The 10th Annual Paul Bunyan Triathlon is this weekend in Bemidji Minnesota.  There is a short court – 1/2 mile swim, 18 mile bike – 3 mile run, and a long course – 1 mile swim – 13 mile bike – 5 mile run.  Everything takes place at Cameron Park.  Race starts at 8:00 a.m.  Online registration closes Wednesday at Midnight.  There is race day registration.  More info on the Paul Bunyan Triathlon

Cory’s Last Day at FrontRunner

Most anyone who has ordered shirts or promotional products, entered races, left phone messages or emails (and received a phone call or email back, has probably dealt with Cory.  She has been a main link to so many in our shop for the last 4 years.  Today is her last day at FrontRunner.

She starts a new adventure in St. Paul on Monday.  A great opportunity for her.

ZTri this Saturday at Zorbaz on Pokegama Lake

The 4th annual ZTri is this Saturday morning in Grand Rapid, MN, hosted at Zorbaz on Pokegama Lake.  The triathlon consists of a 1/3 mile swim, 14 mile bike and a 3.2 mile run.  The first wave starts at 8:00 a.m..

The ZTri was established to provide a family oriented, fun way to start the 4th of July.  Many families has taken part in this event every year since it started.

Awards are handed out at 10:00 a.m., giving everyone an early start on the rest of the day.

There will be race day registration at Zorbaz if you have not yet signed up.  The weather is suppose to be awesome!  Additional information

Manitou Days 5K is Friday, June 19

The annual Manitou Days 5K is a week from this Friday, June 19, in White Bear Lake, MN.  The 5K course is what makes this such a fun race to run.  It is flat and fast and the last mile is run on the Manitou Days parade route that has thousands cheering you on from the curb.  The race starts and finishes at West Park.  The start time is 5:45 p.m..  The parade starts at 6:30 making it a perfect evening in White Bear Lake.  More information on the Manitou Days 5K can be found at www.frontrunnerusa.com

Flag Day 5K this weekend to benefit the Fisher House

Just a reminder that the Flag Day 5K in Ramsey is Saturday on June 13th at 8:00 AM. Plan to arrive 30 minutes in advance for check in.
If you have done this before you will like the changes.  If you haven’t done it before this will be a great year to come.

The coarse is US Track and Field certified and it is new.  We have a group of Marines running this year to see if they can be beat.  A Prize for that and also for the best Patriotic costume.
